Carla Haelermans is assistant professor at the Top Institute for evidence-based Education Research in Maastricht. In Spring 2012, she was a visiting researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Management Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Milano. In 2012 she obtained her PhD in Economics from Maastricht University entitled “On the productivity and efficiency of education – The role of innovations in Dutch secondary education”. In 2013, she was a visiting researcher at the Swedish Institute of Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University in Sweden. She teaches mainly statistics classes, coordinates the BKO program at the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences at Maastricht University and is responsible for coordinating the premaster program, which is a preparation program for the MEBIT-master. Her research currently mainly focuses at experiments on ICT in education.
