Cedefop skill supply and demand forecasts provide comprehensive information on the future labour market trends in Europe. The forecasts act as an early warning mechanism to help to alleviate potential labour market imbalances and support different labour market actors in making informed decisions. The forecasts are based on harmonized data and a single methodology to make results comparable across countries which can be aggregated to provide an overall picture of labour market trends and skill development in the EU.
ROA is one of the partners in the consortium led by Rob Wilson from the Warwick Institute for Employment Research. ROA’s main task in the consortium is to estimate the replacement demand of all EU Member States plus Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. Recently, ROA is also involved in the further development of Occupational skills Profiles (OSPs) by using PIAAC data.
