Matthias Weiss is a Professor of Economics and Applied Econometrics at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, Germany. He studied economics at Universität Mannheim, Université Catholique de Louvain and University College London. He received his PhD in 2003 from Universität Mannheim. In 2005 he became Deputy Director of the Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA) at Universität Mannheim. From 2011 to 2015, he was Academic Coordinator of the Munich Center for the Economics of Aging (MEA) at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy. His research is on the relation between workers’ age and their productivity and health.
