Hetty van Emmerik is Full Professor of Organizational Theory and Organizational Behavior at the Department of Organization & Strategy. Research interests broadly include organizational theory and behavior and (Strategic) HRM issues such as social relationships within organizations (e.g. leadership and working within teams, mentoring, networking, socials support issues) and the association of these topics with various career outcomes at the team and individual level (e.g. team satisfaction, commitment, burnout, and work engagement). Complementary interests include international management, diversity issues (including gender differences in the workplace and work and well-being of older workers), and differential preferences of employees. She is (co-)author of over 100 articles and chapters/books and Past Division Chair of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management. She has received several Best Paper Awards and Best Reviewer Awards.
