Roxanne Korthals is a post doctoral researcher at the department of Economics (section AE2), Maastricht University (since April 2105). Her research is mainly focussed on the economics of education. Other interests are labor economics and the effect of education on economic growth.
She obtained a master degree in economics at the University of Amsterdam and a research master degree in economics at the European University Institute in Florence. She wrote her PhD thesis Tracking Students in Secondary Education: Consequences for Student Performance and Inequality at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University and defended it in June 2015.
