Roxanne Korthals defended her PhD thesis Tracking Students in Secondary Education: Consequences for Student Performance and Inequality on Thursday June 18th, 2015. Her thesis contains five research chapters on tracking students in secondary education. Her thesis, more current versions of some of these chapters, and other papers are available under Research.
Roxanne Korthals is currently working at the Inspectorate of Education. She is a research fellow at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) and at the College for Interdisciplinairy Educational Research (CIDER).
She is an education economist working on issues related to student performance in secondary education and tracking. Other interests are labor economics and family economics.
