Dr. Judith Semeijn is an associate professor in Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) at the faculty of Management, Science & Technology, at the Open University in the Netherlands. She also serves as the chair of the Organization department. After an innovative educational research project, at the faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Maastricht University, in 1997-1999, she started her PhD research at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA, Maastricht University) on academic competences of graduates and labour market success. Judith worked for the Centre for Innovation of Education (Cinop, Den Bosch, The Netherlands) in 2005-2007. Here she was involved with different field research projects concerning the innovation of mainly vocational education in the Netherlands. From September 2007, she has been working at the Open University, focusing on Strategic Human Resource Management topics, such as sustainable labour participaton and career management.
