Fleur Gommans is a PhD candidate at the department of Epidemiology at Maastricht University. She holds a bachelor degree in Health Sciences (2010) and graduated from the MSc program Health Education and Promotion in 2011, both at Maastricht University. Since 2012, she is employed as a PhD candidate at Maastricht University: her project involves a collaboration of Occupational epidemiology and Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA). The main research topics of the project involve the workability of older employees: how can employees at an older age work in a healthy and motivated way? Other main research interests are need for recovery, working time arrangements and competencies.
