Cécile Magnée is a PhD candidate at the Research Center for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University. As part of her bachelor Economics and Business Economics she spent a semester abroad at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Cécile holds a Research Master in Economic and Financial Research. During her studies she did a research internship on the financial crisis at the Netherlands Scientific Council for Policy Research and she wrote a report on the ‘Academic value of internships’ in collaboration with the Educational Research and Development department. Her PhD research focuses on immigration, education and family structures.
