Katarina Wessling joined ROA as a postdoctoral researcher in 2017, before that she held a postdoctoral fellowship at Cologne Graduate School. From 2012 to 2016 she was a researcher at the Department of Sociology, University of Tuebingen. Previously she held a position as a researcher at the Statistical Office in Stuttgart.
Katarina studied sociology, economics and Islamic sciences at the University of Tuebingen. She completed her doctoral degree in Sociology in 2016. Her thesis on the influence of regional and local context conditions on school-to-work transitions originated within the framework of the LEAD Graduate School, University of Tuebingen and was supervised by Steffen Hillmert and Martin Biewen.
