Joost Veth studied Econometrics and Operations Research (Bachelor) at Maastricht University from September 2011 to August 2014. From September to December 2013 he went on an exchange to Grenoble, France. He studied Economic and Financial Research (Master) at the UM from September 2014 to December 2016. From March 2016 to July 2016 he worked as an intern for the Dutch constituency office at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. His Master Thesis was on different election systems in several democracies and what could be improved on the Dutch election system. His research interests are politics, election systems, the marginal effect of more education on job opportunities and productivity and the signaling effect of education. His personal interests are cycling and reading.
